Description: John 11:28-37 “Jesus wept.” It’s the shortest verse in the whole Bible, but it displays a great deal of God’s character! We see that God is engaged with humanity. We see he is present. We see he cares deeply enough to allow his heart to be troubled by our problems and pain. In this passage we see that Jesus not only solves problems, but (maybe more importantly) he enters into them! Jesus longs to awaken compassion within us.
