Description: Luke 7:18-28 John the Baptist. A hero of the faith. Cousin of Jesus. The first one to publicly declare that Jesus was the one who would take away the sins of the world. That’s a pretty impressive resume. That’s what makes it all the more amazing that John would, from jail, send word to Jesus and ask, “Are you the one we’ve been waiting for, or should we expect someone else?” Wait, what? I don’t know about you, but hearing about John’s doubt gives me hope. Hearing Jesus’ answer to him gives me motivation to keep pushing!
