Kathy Brown

ELC Assistant Director

Kathy is originally from Southern California and has lived in Moab, UT, Rockville, MD, and Albuquerque, NM, on her way to Denver. She has been in Denver for over 20 years and loves the Colorado scenery, weather, and outdoor activities!

She graduated from Utah State University with a Family and Human Development degree. Many years later, she returned to school and graduated from CU Denver with an Early Childhood Special Education degree.

She has worked at the ELC for five years as a teacher and is now Assistant Director. Before that, she worked at a sizeable faith-based center as a teacher, assistant director, and then as director. Her heart has always belonged to preschoolers. What joy to see their
faces light up when they discover and learn something new!

Kathy has two married children, Taylor and Colin. Colin and Emma have made their home in Colorado, while Taylor and Brad live out of state. When she is not working, Kathy enjoys hiking, running, reading, and spending time with her dog Mack.
