I am originally from Southern California and have lived in Moab UT, Rockville MD, and Albuquerque, NM on my way to Denver. I have been in Denver for over 20 years and have grown to love the Colorado scenery, weather and outdoor activities!
I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Family and Human Development. Many years later I returned to school and graduated from CU Denver with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education.
I have worked at the ELC for four years teaching various ages of children. Prior to that I worked many years at a large faith-based center as a teacher, assistant director, and then as the director. My heart has always belonged to preschoolers. I so enjoy seeing life from their perspective – so simple and so pure. And such joy when you see their faces light up when they discover and learn something new!
I have two wonderful children Taylor (daughter) and Colin (son) who are both married. Colin and Emma have made their home in Colorado, while Taylor and Brad live in Great Falls, MT. While I am a “grandma in waiting” I continue to practice my grandma skills with the children at the ELC! When I am not working I enjoy hiking, running, reading and spending time with my dog Mack.
