Lauren Floyd

Connections Director

Lauren is in her second year serving as the Director of Connection at South. She and her husband have been attending South for six years, and she started her journey of joining South staff as the Women’s Resident in 2020. Moving into the role of Connections Director was a call from God she couldn’t ignore as she’s always considered herself a bridge builder of people and loves doing that strategically and spontaneously. On Sundays, she’s seeking the new face that needs to be noticed and also leads teams of volunteers and leaders at South by encouraging leaders for projects and events that equip people to use their gifts and bring connection to the community. She’s constantly asking how to connect people with people for the purpose of belonging. Her husband, Taylor, and their two kids, Kyden and Adarae have lived in Denver for six years and grew up in Colorado Springs. She and Taylor got married in 2013 while attending Moody Bible Institute, where she studied Communications and Theater. While in school, she discovered her skills in creative writing and focused on Public Speaking and Theater. She is always looking for creative ways to communicate truth and create opportunities for others to feel seen and known, especially if it involves deep conversations over coffee!
