Build a Bigger Table
Isn’t there something wonderful about sitting around a table with friends or family talking long into the night? Perhaps you’ve experienced one of those evenings. You expect the conversation to move to the living room but you remain around the table hour after hour building deeper and deeper relationships. Jesus had similar experiences, but His included not just friends and family, but enemies, outsiders and those on the fringes of society too. He met with people of all types and they received an opportunity to find real community. What would it look like if we did the same? Starting May 23rd, we’ll spend 11 weeks with Jesus in the gospel of Luke as He brings people to the table and moves over to create more room.
