Have you ever felt that Christmas catches you off guard no matter how much you prepare? In our culture, we might feel far behind on our holiday to-do list, but Christmas is actually one of God’s best-laid plans. Jesus’ arrival in the world was a decisive action by a loving God who longs for a relationship with his children. Two thousand years ago, a writer called Paul said, “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son.” It was all preplanned, but it was constantly surprising – and, at times, inconvenient – for the people immersed in that narrative. In those moments, perhaps they knew enough to pause and reflect that God was in control.
We would love to invite you to join us at South Fellowship for our Christmas Celebration and Candlelight Services. You can enjoy our gathering space with a live jazz band, charcuterie foods, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and more, then move into our Worship Center for a one-hour service of carols, candles, and a short message. All of this is designed to allow you to pause, place Jesus at the center of your Christmas, and remind yourself that he is in control of a surprising world.
Kids Ministry is available for ages three and younger. Registration opens Sunday, Nov. 27th, at noon.
Our 3:00pm service will be streamed on our YouTube channel.
