“But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
A few years back I was listening to a pastor talk about God’s glory and how few people request to see it. I had never heard anyone suggest that we should pray to see God’s glory. It was an interesting concept to me. After exploring it in scripture I found that Moses asked to see God’s glory in Exodus 33:18. Just seeing God’s back side caused Moses’ face to “glow” or be “radiant”, so much so that the people were afraid to come near him. Moses was a “friend of God” and wanted everything God had to give him. That included seeing His glory! When we see His glory, we can’t help but shine and reflect Him! His glory seen in us—what an awesome privilege! This believer’s prayer now is, “O God, Show Me Your Glory!”
