Dave Shugert
Elder
Dave Shugert is married to Ginny, and together they have raised 3 wonderful children, Matt (Madeline), Suzanna (Salvador), and Daniel (Kimberly). Dave and Ginny began attending South Fellowship in 1996 and quickly got involved in children and youth ministries. Dave also began playing on the worship team. Currently, Dave leads the European MAT team, serves on the GO committee, and participates on the worship team.
Dave grew up in a Christian family and regularly attended church. While attending a Young Life camp in high school, he realized his need to accept the free gift of salvation and committed to following Christ, loving Him, and serving him. Ginny and Dave met in college in Ohio in 1983 and were married by her father. After living for a time in Southern California, they moved to the Denver area to start a church with some friends. Dave has served as worship director at 2 churches and taught music in Douglas County for the last 35 years. Dave is honored to serve the body at South by participating on the elder board.
