Mike Galuzzi

Elder

I moved to Denver in 1977 to begin my career as a civil engineer, working for McLaughlin Water Engineers. At the same time, I began attending South Presbyterian Church and met Barb in the college and career group there. We were married in August of 1978 and began a family after a couple of years. We have 3 sons who are married, and we have 7 beautiful granddaughters.

We have been at South for 45 years now and have seen a lot of people – staff and friends — come and go. We have developed strong friendships over the years, and many of those friends are still here at South. We have seen a lot of changes and gone through some hard times with South, but we have always seen God’s faithfulness.

I retired 2 1/2 years ago and enjoy having time to build new relationships through a couple of men’s groups and also a new life group. I have been able to help with the food bank and be an on-call maintenance man for the ELC. I enjoy being available and able to serve in various ways. Barb and I are grateful for God’s leading in bringing us to South many years ago, and we feel blessed to be a part of this church family. We look forward to God’s continued leading and care for South in the years ahead.
