Empty is the New Full

Let’s be honest… Jesus made a number of claims that didn’t seem to make a lot of sense. He said, “lose your life and find what it means to truly live.” (Mark 8:35 ) He said, “in your weakness He is strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ). He said “it is better to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35 )

All of these seemingly crazy claims came out of the mouth of Jesus! He wasn’t just giving people crazy advice, he was actually aligning people with the way God designed the universe to function. He was inviting people to find life in His upside down Kingdom.

All of the topics we are going to explore are paradoxes. A paradox is a statement that seems absurd or self-contradictory but… turns out to be true. The trouble is, you must live out Jesus’s teachings to find that they are, in fact, true. All throughout his ministry, Jesus taught his disciples that there is a better way to live! Come over the next few weeks and explore Jesus’s upside-down way.
