March 23, 2014 | Series: The Movement

Acts 1:12-26 – The title of this message demonstrates some of the tension that is found in God’s movement and mission. Sometimes, God asks us to wait before we move. Waiting can be one of the most difficult parts of following God, especially when you have captured a vision of what he wants. In this passage of scripture, we find the Apostles of Jesus waiting for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in them. Jesus told them to bring the good news to the whole world, but he also told them to wait for the Spirit to arrive first. In this sermon, we explore what it looks like to wait well.
